After a brief trip, we returned to our home in Cape Coral on a beautiful Saturday in August, only to discover that we had no air conditioning. We called D & D Air Conditioning and Heating on Sunday morning. A few hours later, Lee McRae showed up at our door. Lee began by inspecting our current equipment, trying to determine the most economical way for us to move forward. He went “above and beyond” in trying to get our system fixed. Unfortunately, our equipment needed to be replaced. Lee reviewed several alternatives with us and helped us determine the best unit for our needs. Danny Salinas came on Tuesday morning to do our installation. Due to a “sick” call, Danny had to do everything alone without a partner. In mid-90’s heat (inside and out), Danny removed a “less than cooperative” existing unit and carried our new equipment to our second story unit. It was hot and miserable work, made worse by the fact that Danny was doing a lot of heavy lifting and carrying by himself. Despite less than desirable conditions – not helped, I am sure, by our desire to help out, Danny was always charming and delightful. He was extremely neat and meticulous with our installation and made several helpful suggestions about the layout of our utility closet. Although it was evening by the time Danny finished, he demonstrated great patience in explaining how everything worked and how to maintain it. We were extremely impressed with Danny’s work – and with Danny. We have an older condo and our electrical box apparently has a few quirks. Our air conditioner now worked flawlessly but our dryer quit. We weren’t sure whether the two events were connected, so we called back D & D. Nick came to the rescue 40 minutes after we called and after a few tweaks, everything again working perfectly! D & D was recommended to us by a friend, and now we know why! Based on our own experience with your company representatives, Danny, Lee and Nick, we certainly will recommend D&D to our friends and neighbors. In the meantime, thank you for such wonderful service!

I want you to know how happy I am with your service and your employees. I have been a customer since 2007, and every time I have had to call your office, the people are friendly and professional. Our AC has been running great since you became our service providers. The only time your service staff has been here has been to do annual checkups, because they have kept it running right. When they have visited for maintenance, the service men were on time, and very clean, and respectful. I have been more than satisfied for over five years now, and I just wanted you to know.

One evening our AC unit began to malfunction. It was running loudly, and yet it wasn't cooling. We were already a D and D customer on your (Comfort Care) Service Program, and we called your office, even though it was already past six. They picked up quickly, and your technician was at our house within two hours. He was very courteous and knowledgeable, and managed to identify the issue right away. He explained our options in detail, letting my husband and I know in advance how much it would cost. We agreed, and he had it fixed and was finished before ten pm. The AC was running perfectly, and he left the place clean and tidy. My husband and I are two happy customers, and would recommend you to our friends any time.

We have used your company twice now for air conditioning service calls in Verandah. Both times Lee was the repairman. Our personal experiences with Lee have been superb! He is kind, efficient, gets there on time and an excellent representative of your company. I had him call one of our customers to explain the air conditioning issues they were facing. He has a super manner about him and discussed unit replacement in the future! Great salesmanship! He is worth my time to let you know what a good job he is doing.

Wanted to let you know how satisfied we are with our experience with D & D Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. The air handler that was in our house was the original unit that was installed and was nearly 30 years old and the condenser was 14 years old. It was time to update our system as for the past 2 years the coil in the air handler would freeze up and we would need a charge of coolant. I wasn't too concerned with the brand of equipment as there are several good manufacturers. I was more concerned about the quality of the installation and the reliability of the company and personnel. Having dealt with contractors not keeping appointments, not doing what they say they're going to do and overall poor communication I was looking for a well-established company with a good reputation. From the first phone call to the inspection of the new installation, it was a painless and stress free experience. Stan came over and looked at our old system and offered several packages that were competitively priced. Once we made our decision, the installation was scheduled for later in the week. I expected at least 2 days for the install. Instead, the crew arrived in the morning staring at the museum piece of an air handler and left leaving nothing but a brand new running A/C system at the end of the day. I happen to be home from work that day recuperating from an injury and the 2-man crew that spent the day there was clean, polite and respectful of my situation. At one point it was looking like the water heater may need to be moved due to the location of the air handler and ducting, but the crew was quick on their feet and came up with a solution that worked without having to move anything. Communication with the office has been smooth as well. Maureen emailed and called when she said she would. This was refreshing as it seems to be a lost art with contractors and businesses lately. She set up the inspection and made sure we were prepared for it which was quick and painless. Overall it has been a great experience and don't see any reason why we wouldn't use or recommend D & D for any heating or air conditioning needs.
